Here’s a bit more about Ian…

  • When’s your birthday? - 5th May - Star sign Taurus
  • What are your main interests? – Shooting, hunting, triathlon, cycling, and socialising.
  • What you enjoy doing outside work? - I’m a very social person, and like to get out to see my friends and meet people. I play darts for several local teams; enjoy dining out and entertaining my family. I also shoot regularly and enjoy competing in endurance events (when I’m not injured!)
  • Something you’d really like to do, a lifelong ambition? - I’d love to race the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii, complete the Marathon Des Sables and Himalayan 100 mile Stage Race, and run the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Race in less than 24 hours. I’d also like to hunt the ‘Big 5’ in Africa and get my ‘MacNab’.
  • Any other interesting facts about yourself? - I’m actually American, but have lived here most of my life. I was once profiled in Men’s Fitness magazine (funny for those who know me!) and once got caught in the middle of riot during a coup attempt whilst hunting in Guinea, West Africa in 2007.
  • If I didn’t work for Countryman Fairs I would be a...? - Big Game Hunter
