Alistair Hayhurst has been demonstrating the art of bodging and hurdlemaking for the last 5 years. During the winter months Alistair coppices in the woods, and come spring he can either be found in his workshop, or demonstrating this fine art at Countryman Fairs events.
Using a portable lathe, which is traditionally powered by a treadle and a spring sapling, Alistair turns a wide variety of wooden items including chair legs and rounder’s bats.
