David Seamark Sheepdog Demonstration. Davids unique demonstration portrays the skill and commitment of a working sheepdog highlighting the ability and character of each dog.

The Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair provides a true a celebration of Working Dogs, and provides an insight into the unique bond that develops between a dog and its handler. There are few partnerships between man and dog that are as closely linked than those of a shepherd and his sheepdog.  We are pleased to welcome David Seamark to the Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair to demonstrate this ancient partnership that has stewarded our countryside for eons.

David is a sheep and arable farmer running a flock of 600 breeding ewes. His display demonstrates a variety of techniques using sheep, geese and up to five dogs.  This unique demonstration portrays the skill and commitment of a working sheepdog showing the ability and character of each dog. David will show that although a great deal of time and training goes into the development of these highly intelligent working dogs, it is the special bond between the dog and his handler that enables them to work as one. Children will also be invited into the arena to assist with the performance. David performs twice a day in the Kelmarsh Game and Country Fair Main Arena.
