Kelmarsh Country Fair - Working Dogs Village
Working dogs provide an essential service to the countryside, and have an important role in almost all field sports. Whether they are stewarding livestock, hunting or retrieving game, or competing at a country fair our working dog breeds perform a multitude of tasks, with unquestioning loyalty. Dogs and humans work together in a myriad of countryside pastimes and activities, many of which would be virtually impossible without canine skills and assistance.
The Kelmarsh Country Fair is an event for the whole family – including the dog! The Working Dog Village offers as much fun and excitement for your dog as it does for the rest of the family. An exciting new addition to the Working Dog Village in 2010! The Countryman Fairs Gundog Pavilion offers visitors a fantastic opportunity to meet the full variety of gundog breeds together under one roof.
Heritage Breeds Pavillion
New at the Kelmarsh Country Fair for 2010 is the Heritage Breeds Pavilion. Working together with the British Heritage Dog Breeds, this fascinating interactive showcase provides a rare opportunity to meet some of our most vulnerable working dog breeds.
Dog Agility & Pet Dog Show
The Working Dog Village at the Kelmarsh Country Fair showcases all things canine, including giving your pet dogs a chance to shine. Visitors and their dogs have the chance to compete in special have-a-go events, kindly co-ordinated by the Up and Over Training Club.
