Honeybrook Falconry Arena

Co-ordinating the displays and demonstrations in the Falconry Arena are Bryan Patterson, one of the most familiar faces on the game fair circuit, and Terry Large, a true authority in falconry. With over 30 years experience with birds of prey, Bryan brings an exceptional store of knowledge to the Falconry Arena to share with audiences.

Bryan works closely with Terry Large to ensure that the whole day offers unique and informative displays. Terry has a lifetime’s involvement in field sports. He was brought up to participate in country pursuits, and would spend hours wildfowling on Frodsham marshes, ferreting, and fishing.

As well as giving talks and demonstrations, Terry will also be taking the children’s falconry classrooms, to introduce a new generation to the noble sport of falconry. The children’s falconry classrooms are the ultimate countryside hands-on experience.

Once they have a grounding in the basics, the children go into the Falconry Arena to fly the birds in front of their friends and family. The falconry classrooms are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for children to take part in one of the countryside’s most noble pursuits.
