The heart of the village is the Working Dog Arena, which offers demonstrations from some of the most successful and famous names in the working dog world.
Working dogs provide an essential service to the countryside, and have an important role in almost all field sports. Whether they are stewarding livestock, hunting or retrieving game, or competing at a country fair our working dog breeds perform a multitude of tasks, with unquestioning loyalty. Dogs and humans work together in a myriad of countryside pastimes and activities, many of which would be virtually impossible without canine skills and assistance.
The Midland Game Fair is an event for the whole family – including the dog! The Working Dog Village offers as much fun and excitement for your dog as it does for the rest of the family. The Heritage Breeds Pavilion offers visitors a rare opportunity to meet some of our most vulnerable working dog breeds.
Working together with the British Heritage Dog Breeds, this fascinating interactive showcase provides an opportunity to meet with the breed representatives.
They'll be on hand to offer visitors a fascinating insight into the heritage and characteristics of their breeds, as well as advice on responsible ownership and training these most precious of working dogs.
