Sussex Country Game Fair - Falconry
The history of falconry can be traced back as long ago as 2000 BC, to the Middle and Far East. It was perhaps most popular in medieval England though, where it was the favoured field sport for over four centuries, and the first “Sport of Kings”
Countryman Fairs recognise the significance of this noble sport, and at the Sussex Country Fair we bring together a range of interactive displays that educate and inform visitors about the birds and their heritage.
Come and join Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, Ray and Wendy Aliker in their demonstration filled with flight and humour in the Main Arena, get a mouse’s eye view of the Eagle Owl in flight!
